The historical surfaces in the future at the Castle Libá
I have written about historical recipes for floor wax and the application – polishing. Today is the day to put the knowledge into practice. For this research project I have chosen the parquet floor that our WORCAMP PARQUET participants made in 2016.
We used the historical technique on the parquet surface, a recipe with glue and polishing wax. As part of the research project „Historical parquet surface in recipe and application“ we will be following and observing this surface for a good year. We have made the preservation of historical, antique parquet and wooden floors an important element of the WORKCAMP PARQUET project. With the following projects we would like to contribute to preserving the craftsmanship and know-how of parquet restoration and to further develop it in practice.
In collaboration with BDA Mauerbach, Vienna (Austria) we will be holding our weekly event in September 2025. the WORKCAMP PARQUET 2025 – The PARQUET RESTORING will take place.
